It’s winter, and it's hard to keep skin moisturized in cold climates. “Xerosis,” if you prefer the scientific term. But figuring out how to do so can be confusing—should I change my diet? Drink more water? What about supplements or expensive oils? It seems like there are a million different pseudo-science tips on this topic coming from people trying to sell me things! Like us...
But, here is what we recommend for keeping your dry skin moisturised all season long; then go give yourself some relief with them (or not).
1. Stay Hydrated - simple and effective and we feel like a broken record putting this as numero uno, but it's that important.
2. Moisturise - and the second most important thing you can do is moisturise. Our Daily Moisturiser is packed full of antioxidants and omegas similar to our skins natural lipids, the active ingredients in this daily moisturiser soak in deeply to help nourish, soothe and protect your skin and helps reduce the signs of ageing.
3. Exfoliate - Go easy on the exfoliation. If you want your skin to look as smooth and vibrant as possible, we recommend using exfoliation products. Exfoliating dead cells off of the surface of the skin can help get rid of cracks in pores or bumps that are created by dirt on those pesky little things called keratinocytes (skin cells). But don’t overdo it! It might sound tempting but if you scrub too hard with harsh chemicals then all is lost.
The bottom line - Be consistent.
